Substance Abuse Recovery

I believe Addiction should be treated as a health issue, not just a criminal issue. This plan focuses on prevention, treatment, and long-term recovery support systems.

→ Increase access to inpatient and outpatient rehab centers, detox services, and medication-assisted treatment to ensure people can choose care that fits their needs.

→ Support safe, structured sober living environments where individuals can stabilize after treatment and rebuild their independence gradually with support systems in place.

→ Improve education programs that go beyond “just say no” and instead teach real-life coping skills, addiction science, and the consequences of substance misuse.
