I’m Ocewana, and I believe real leadership means showing up for people when they need it most. It’s about action, accountability, and being present not just speaking, but actually listening and responding. I am committed to showing up for you and standing with you through challenges. As an advocate, I will use my voice to speak up for those who feel unheard and push for real change in our community. I will stand with you, fight for you, and work to make sure your concerns are taken seriously and addressed with purpose.

I’m running to serve Maryland’s Legislative District 2B because our communities deserve leadership that is present, accountable, and focused on real solutions—not political noise. My commitment is rooted in the belief that government should work for the people it represents, especially families who feel overlooked, overburdened, or unheard.
This campaign is about strengthening what matters most: expanding access to quality mental health care and substance abuse recovery services, improving our schools so every child has a fair shot, protecting our environment and the well-being of animals through stronger welfare laws—including ending inhumane animal testing practices—and making everyday life more affordable for working families. I also believe in building safer, healthier communities by addressing housing stability, job opportunity, and healthcare access with practical, people-first policies.
As an advocate, entrepreneur, and public speaker, I’ve spent my time listening to people’s stories and turning those experiences into action. I understand what it means to fight for others, and I’m ready to bring that same energy to Annapolis.
District 2B deserves leadership that doesn’t just talk about change, but shows up, does the work, and delivers it. Together, we can build a stronger, more compassionate future where every voice in our district is not only heard—but counted.
